The past year has been one of unprecedented challenge for North East businesses. Many have had to adapt to survive, some with spectacular results. This category aims to acknowledge those successful diversifications and the innovative and transformative teams behind them.

North East entrepreneurs are the disruptors and innovators that will shape the future of our region’s business community. The winner of this award will exhibit hard work, determination, creativity and resilience. This entrepreneur will be an inspiration to business people across the North East.

Recognising the most ethical, socially responsible, green business, we’re looking for a Chamber member who can demonstrate a commitment to managing their environmental impact. The winner will be able to demonstrate that this agenda is embedded right throughout their business at every level and what impact this agenda has on their organisation.

Diversity and inclusion award

A business that is focused on supporting and encouraging diversity and inclusion is the foundation of a progressive business community in North East England. We’re looking for an outstanding business who promote and support equality, inclusion, disability access and support, community engagement and welfare.

This award recognises the strength and resilience of North East exporters. Entrants for this award must stand out from the crowd on the international stage and demonstrate that they adapted to the effects of Covid-19 and the impact of Brexit.
